It is also quite common that first time adsense publishers take Cost Per Click for granted as their full paid income. It is only a certain percentage of the CPC that goes into your adsense account. Do not be surprise if a CPC of $25.00 pays you only $1.00 or less.

Also high paying keywords tend to be location specific. If you look at the lists posted across the web a lot of them will have keywords stating some American states. It is silly anyway trying to build a website based on high paying keywords, it'll take years for them to start earning their proposed $40.00 value.

If cost per click refers to the cost the advertiser has to pay. Now what would google earn as a revenue if they pay out the full amount of the cost per click? Im curious ....Perhaps someone should enlighten me with what glen just said?

from memory google takes approx a 40-45% cut of the cpc.
