I just started Adsense to test it out. Right now I'm getting low clicks and 1-2K page impressions per day with content. So far I have 6,104 Page impressions, less than 20 clicks, and a total of $0.04 total Earnings. No doubt I have low click numbers, but I would've figured to be making more 1Cent for 1-2K impressions. Should I expect this type earnings (or lack of) with page impressions? Thanks

it depends on the topic of your website to some extent. lots of people get poor results with adsense. if it does not work well ..then give some other programs a go and then compare the results. but don't expect too much from the adsense competitors. they will probably be just as bad if not worse.

Adsense earning is based on implementation of some strategies and works for you. But you have to take care of whether your content is upto mark. Often visitors seems to visit the page without any click conversion. This mostly happens when the ads being displayed on your web[age are mot absolutely related to your content. The visitors have a trend to click on those ads which are mostly related to your webcontent you have written on the page. Actually the visitor wants to search for more information on the same page. And the related ads by adsense serves their purpose, thats why they click. Otherwise visitors hate to click on the ads. So check whether the ads that are there on your page are either related to your content or not. Otherwise you have to make some implementation on your content page by increasing the density of keyword used.
