Hi, my name is Ryan and i've created a website text-based game called Sea of Shadows, seaofshadows.com. It's growing fast, it's been online for a week now and has over 140 players and counting daily. I have placed ads about 2 on the site right now, 1 on the right side of the page a Vertical skyscapper, and at the bottom - image horizontal banner. Right now for starting out I've been making between $.80 - $1.00 a day. I want to know if this is good so far? Every day my amount goes down by a few cents and less clicks. I want to know if my ad placements are positioned well and what I can do to bring in some more money off these ads.

I don't wanna just fill my site with advertisements, I want to keep them spaced out because it's a game and I want everyone to have fun on my site and enjoy it meanwhile I use the ads to pay off the server and also bring in some cash because it's a second job right now and maybe one day a full-time job. Does anyone have any pointers they could give me?

Thank you very much,
Ryan. Posted Image

hi ryan, your site layout looks pretty good to me. are you using channels to see which ad blocks are making the most money?

i think your earnings of $1 dollar per day is a good start. do you know how many unique impressions you are getting? if you are getting a click through rate of 5% or more you are doing very well.

cheers, glen :)
