Just dropped by for a bit of a chat and to say hi to everyone and wish them a Happy New Year. And my what do I see but we have a new layout, a new fresh look. Must say Glen I like it. Hope you have been receiving favourable comments.

How is business with all of you then? Must say I was very disapointed with my Christmas Website this year. It started off great and then just died a death. I doubt if it was worth the trouble. Still there is always next year.

New Year Resolutions anyone? How about adding one page of content to your site every other day? It certainly would increase revenue. Myself I'm inquiring if my local education centre will put on a Dreamweaver course. I really do need to get to grips with the technical end of the business and have a better idea of what I am doing.

I'd like to do a bit more on keywords in the next few months. I'm still flying by the seat of my pants; I do need to be more selective.

Anyway that's where I'm coming from. How about you?

hi kevin,

well my new years resolution is to focus more on developing marketing skills since that is my weakness i think.

my earnings have taken a real dive recently since google said you cannot place images next to ads. i will need to come up with a new plan on making my ads more attractive to click on without using images. this will be an important task for me in 2007.

the good news is my traffic is still doing OK. I hope to double my website traffic in 2007. Its always good to have a goal!

all the best to everyone,

cheers, glen :)

I'm not to sure about cannot place images next to ads. From what I am reading it is not in the TOS it only appeared in Googles blog. and I am reading also that the objection is not the placing of images next to ads but the placing of images next to ads to make it appear as if the image is part of the ad

Of course very few have argued with Google and won :)

Marketing, well of course I'm with you on that one

i think it might be OK to use images near ads if they DO NOT seem to line up with the ads....at least that is the unwritten vibe i was getting from the google blog.

maybe i will come up with a new design that still uses images. :)

Well, not always.

I like the new design too. It's clean and clear.
Calling about new years' resolutions, I am trying to make some real-life ones.

I guess I'll be trying to make my projects take off and create some new ones if these do not (although they should).
I now have something in my mind. Although that's probably not the best season. :)
Also, I am looking forward for taking up blogging at early 2007 more seriously. Well, on verra.

I shall probably soon need (like in a year) quite some extra cash so now is a perfect chance to use the opportunities. ;)

Have a good year, everybody.
