Hi everyone,

Google has put out some revised optimisation tips on its website.

https://www.google.c...amp;medium=link

It has also provided some specific tips for forums and blogs.

Blogs - https://www.google.c...amp;medium=link
Forums - https://www.google.c...amp;medium=link

Also this page about ad colors is interesting -

What color palettes are the most successful?" - https://www.google.c...amp;medium=link

Let me know if you think these tips are useful,

Cheers, Glen :)

Thank you for sharing the links. As for "What color palettes are the most successful?" - https://www.google.c...n/...dium=link", I think people should not use the palettes, if you want a good CTR you need to blend to make it look your sites content, not like a sore thumb.

In some cases the colour palets seem to work fine though.
The digital point forums uses the changing colour palettes, and the owner of DP earns quit a lot with it :P

8: Shawn Hogan – DigitalPoint.com $10,000 per month

Back in January of 2005 the New York Times had an article about AdSense, featuring Shawn Hogan, founder of DigitalPoint. The article states that Mr. Hogan makes $10,000 per month from Google AdSense using a very unique revenue sharing model.

Google pays Digital Point about $10,000 a month, depending on how many people view or click on those ads, said Shawn D. Hogan, the owner and chief technology officer of Digital Point.

Mr. Hogan said he started the revenue-sharing approach in 2004 “as kind of a marketing gimmick.”

“But everyone seemed to think it was a cool idea,” he said. “I saw a lot of other sites doing the same thing maybe six months later.”

DigitalPoint have grown a lot since that article and while Mr. Hogun would not say anything, the DigitalPoint forum members speculate that he is making at least twice that amount now.

thanks for sharing that info. this adsense forum has a LONG way to go to get to 10,000 per day! lol :) maybe in 50 years :)

i would consider setting up a revenue sharing feature on this forum if i knew how to but i don't have the programming skills to do it.

:)

Isn't there such a mod for it for IPB?
I know there is one for vB and SMF.
And its $10 000 a month.
Although 10 000 a day would be awsome :D
