Hello.
I don't know if I'm supposed to post about this here, but oh well, it's an interesting story. And plus it increases my post count (and the forum one).

Anyway, there is not that much to tell.
Well, there was a guy Damien. And he had his adsense blog at
http://damienadsense.blogspot.com/

He kept posting his adsense earnings almost everyday for some days. Well, they were not magical, but still, nice money (one can see up to hundred bucks a day, comparing to my current level, that's not too bad)...

Actually, I had even started to get in contact with him. His earnings kinda inspired me to start adsens'ing (well, I haven't advanced, but planning to take this up more seriously by some time, lol).
And then, one day he stopped posting anything.
As you can see in his blog, the last post is dated to 31 July, 2005. That's it. No more progress, no more posts or logins, not even a comment by him.

And I find it kinda strange. Could it be that Google prevented him from posting his earnings? But he could have left something up in his blog.
Now, he has disappeared.

And this has remained a mistery to me since then.
The most likely explanation I can come up with is that something bad happened to him.

But hmm...That leaves me wondering. And gets me interested even more.

Or any other solutions about what could have happened? Have you heard anything like this before?

Okay, I guess, that's it. I kinda ranted away and this post is a little bit meaningless. But what the hell. ;)

i tried to find out...i led some links to the googlest.com website because i thought maybe that was the same chap making the blog but i didn't find anyone called damien.

i wonder what his actual successful websites were about (i doubt he made much money from the blog itself). one of the keywords i think he mentioned was "insurance" as a high paying term but I am not sure what i can write about insurance? That is the problem with some high paying terms. I have no interest in them and so its hard to get motivated to write about them.

I don't think Google would have shut him down under the current rules. Though back in 2005 it might have been breaking the rules to reveal his earnings.

cheers, glen :)
