There are people out there in cyberworld making serious money with adsense and I'm almost sure we all want to be there :D

Whether you hunt the net or buy the e-book the information about where to place ads how to blend them in is freely available, and that information does make sense.

But have you ever tired to obtain a peek at some of the professionals websites? You are probally like myself and can't find them - it is funny the way they want to tell you how to make money with adsense but dont want to show you!

Let's dish the dirt then. Know of a site that one of the big boys run, I mean one that they're not constantly plugging? Well share the address; you know the old saying 'a picture is worth a thousands words.'

I'd normally try to kick off by giving an address but I haven't got any and I'd really love to see what they get up to in real life.

Kevin.

hi kevin,

one of the big talkers is joel comm who has written an e-book about adsense.

here are some of his sites (i can't see how they can make any money to be honest).

http://www.worldvillage.com/
http://www.dealofday.com/
http://www.safetysurf.com/
http://www.familyfirst.com/

they are the type of sites i would certainly never return to. the ads are completely overdone in my opinion.

i will let you know if i find others.

p.s. sorry the forum has been a bit quite lately but i have been busy. the site will be given a breath of fresh life in the new year.

cheers, glen :)

You are quite right Glen, Joel is one of the big talkers, and you are also correct in saying that it is difficult to see how the above make money, they are not great sites. My view is that they are there for general public consumption. His world village site for example is a popular blog and he uses it to attract people into his world. And to be honest I see nothing wrong in that, it is after all about marketing.

At this stage I must declare an interest I've bought Comm's e-book. I'll do a post on why and what I think.

Whether the above sites are good sites or not is not really my point. Let's take Joel as an example. The above are his PUBLIC sites, ones that he dosen't mind people seeing, in fact he encourages people to go there and read about him.

But, quite literally, the thousand dollar question is where are his other NON-PUBLIC sites. The ones that he dosen't shout about from the roof tops. They are the ones that make him the money and I'd like to see a number of them.

Of course Joel Comm is not the only big talker on the circut at the moment there is a guy called the 'Rich Jerk' if Joel talks this guy shouts! He plasters the web with sites but where are they? How does he structure them? How Many pages does he have to a site 50, 100, 1000? What colours are they using?

I'm guessing that if I could see a collection of those sites that they would all have something in common and if I had that information to hand it would help me build better sites.

The task I'm setting is a difficult one because these guys go out of their way to hide these sites because they are the sites that make them money and those are the sites I want to see; not the like of World Village.

I raised this topic in Dec 2005 and I want to revisit it.

The question I posed then was; "does anybody know any of the non-public sites of the adsense gurus (by non-public sites I mean sites that they don't talk about, sites which they would rather we don't know they own because these sites will illistrate more than any ebook how the lay out their stall)

Let's take Joel Comm as an example. I would suggest that his most popular PUBLIC sites are World Village and Joel Comm.com each with a page rank of 6.

To me they seem to be pretty spammy and anyone into internet marketing would hardly be going there for real information, nevermind clicking on his adsense. The sites are used mainly for Joel Comm to shout how great he is, and how great you will be if only you will use his system (at a suitable fee of course

But I think we do have to take it for granted that he does know his stuff and that he makes, if not the majority of his income, then certainly a major part of it, with adsense. How helpful then would it be for your, or me, to see one or two of the sites that he dosen't proclaim from the roof-tops, the ones he has spent a lot of time and effort on. I bet you that if you were to sit down and analysis three of his PRIVATE sites you would know a hell of a lot more about adsense than reading his overpriced ebook.

So again the appeal goes out do you know any PRIVATE sites run by Joel Comm, The Rich Jerk, Michael Cheney, Jeff Walker to name but a few. Post them here and then we can all see what sort of sites they really do make their money from.

I do honestly believe to be able to examing these sites at close quarters would be a real learning experience.

your site has to be bad and ugly enough so that the visitors will want to leave it by clicking on your ads ;)
